Crab and Asparagus Fried Rice
This Chinese New Year, we had a friends gathering for reunion dinner in one of the restaurants in Milpitas. One of the dishes was crab and asparagus fried rice. I thought using crab and asparagus is a classy way to spice up a plate of boring fried rice. Hence, I tried cooking it and I loved it! It would be great if you could use some fresh crab, but because I was lazy I opted for lumped crab meat that I bought from Trader Joes. Well, it's easy and it still tastes good :) Always a good option for a lazy weeknight dinner!
I added in the rice and mixed them well. I then seasoned the rice with fish sauce and soy sauce.
It is best to use overnight rice for frying. However, I don't have any and what I did was to cook the rice in the afternoon (thank you for a rice cooker with timer!) with less water and placed it in the fridge before I cook it for dinner the same day. |
